Walking down the road, the big trees on both sides provided shade for us.

Walking down the road, we were shaded by the big trees on both sides.

或

When we were walking down the road, the big trees provided shade for us.

2. Swimming at the lake, a rock cut John's foot.

Swimming at the lake, John's foot was cut by a rock.

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible, who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time, who still questions the power of our democracy, tonight is your answer.

If there is anyone out there who still doubts that America is a place where all things are possible
who still wonders if the dream of our founders is alive in our time
who still questions the power of our democracy
